Nitro Kid
Nitro Kid is a synthwave-inspired roguelike deckbuilder that combines strategic card-based combat with grid-based tactical movement in a vibrant neon world inspired by 1980s action films and cyberpunk aesthetics. Players choose from three unique agents, build powerful decks, and battle through the ever-changing floors of the INFINITY Tower, adapting their strategies with new cards, upgrades, and abilities each run.

Released on Steam in partnership with TinyBuild, Nitro Kid marked Wildboy Studios' second commercial release. The game introduced the studio's original take on the deckbuilding genre by blending tactical positioning with fast-paced turn-based combat, and was praised by players for its distinctive visual style, strategic gameplay, and original synthwave soundtrack, earning a Very Positive user rating on Steam.
"Nitro Kid is quick and  fun, a great experience for players who love card-driven titles that focus on close-quarters engagements." -Softpedia
For Nitro Kid, I focused on creating 2D character animations in a pixel art style, bringing the game’s cast to life through expressive movement and combat animations. I also worked closely with the team to implement and integrate these animations into Unity.
I assisted with the visual design and animation of the game’s environments, helping shape levels around the game’s tactical combat and roguelike structure.
I was involved in developing the game’s UI system and interactions, with a main focus on creating clear and intuitive interfaces that supported grid based movement and card-based combat.
